Is your family like us in that we never need a reason to make dessert? 😉 It may be somewhat troubling, however it's entirely irritating to the children if there isn't a sweet after supper. Also, I'm not discussing OUR children. I'm discussing my folks' children… The ADULTS! Its a well known fact that we have dessert after each brilliant Sunday dinner… and weekday suppers… and Friday night for funsies (we're amazing that way!) Often, we have a birthday (or five), to praise that month, so we feel somewhat more advocated in our sugar over-burdens (like we truly need support?)

May happens to be Carpenters month! My child was conceived in May so we celebrate with cake or cupcakes. Yet, he was conceived on our commemoration, so we need to praise the day after with treats or cake. A couple of days after the fact is my birthday, so we accomplish all the more celebrating with more treats, or for this situation, delicious Strawberry Shortcake Bars (there may have been pazookie in there as well)!

These Strawberry Shortcake Bars from Divas Can Cook are currently a most loved among the grown-ups. The overly delicate cake like outside layer flawlessly joins with a light layer of cream cheddar and whipped cream, finished with new cool strawberries. It's superb! On the off chance that that doesn't sing "Upbeat Birthday to you", I don't have a clue what does!
